Flower Bee Felted Wool Birdhouse
Our decorative and functional felted wool birdhouses are a lovely addition to your garden this season. Traditionally handfelted by a Fair Trade artisan group in Nepal, they're colorful, practical and beautiful. The birdhouses are crafted with sustainably harvested materials including sheep's wool, environmentally friendly dyes, a natural hemp hanging cord and a bamboo perch.
The birdhouse can be hung outside as well as inside. Rain naturally sheds from the wool, and if wet, will naturally dry. As the house weathers, the wool will eventually break down and birds can use the old house to line their new nests, making these birdhouses 100% sustainable! The birdhouse will last forever inside or in a protected spot, such as a porch.
The 1 1/4'' diameter opening is sized for small birds such as wrens, chickadees, and nuthatches, but it can be enlarged for other species such as bluebirds and swallows.
